Introduction to VEX

In Robotics @APEX, we make use of the VEX V5 parts family as SST falls under the High School category to compete in various tournaments. In VEX, robots mostly consist of metal parts as compared to the plastic parts used in LEGO. While both have electronics components such as motors and sensors, VEX also includes pneumatics, which basically involves using gas and air pressure to move parts around.

A legacy of VEX

In SST's history of participating in VEX, we have claimed over 30 awards across multiple prestigious competitions globally. These include World's Division Finalist, Tournament Champions, Excellence, and many other awards that recognise a high degree of excellence and performance in teams.
